William Vollman is the author of Fathers and Crows, Thirteen Stories and Thirteen Epitaphs, and nearly 50 other works of fiction, politics, photography, and nonfiction. He won the 2005 National Book Award for Europe Central, and was nominated for the 2004 National Book Critics Circle Award for Rising Up and Rising Down.
