The Alexander String Quartet

Widely admired for its interpretations of Beethoven, Mozart, and Shostakovich, the Alexander String Quartet has also established itself as an important advocate of new music through over 25 commissions and numerous premiere performances. Like the Hausmann Quartet and The Afiara String Quartet, ASQ is affiliated with the Morrison Chamber Music Program at San Francisco State University as artistic and administrative directors and mentors of the instructional program.
