Guest Artist Public Events

CSU Summer Arts guest artists work intensively with their students during the day and inspire their students and the Fresno community after dark with their talented performances. The Summer Arts public performances give our audiences the opportunity to enjoy the best of today’s artistic talent at reasonable prices.

Student Culmination Series

One of the highlights of the CSU Summer Arts public events is the student culmination series. The student participants from each Summer Arts workshop will culminate their experience by staging a public performance, reading, or exhibit showcasing their hard work and skills developed at Summer Arts. All student culminations are free to the public. We invite you to see the amazing work being produced by the talented students of Summer Arts.

Post Event Receptions

For a selected number of public events, Summer Arts will offer a post performance reception. Take this opportunity after the show to enjoy good food and a glass of Fresno State wine, and mingle with the artists and other Summer Arts participants. Please see the individual event descriptions to determine which events will have post performance receptions.

Performance Information

Performances begin at the time indicated in the Events Calendar. Late-arriving patrons will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager in consideration of guest artist requests, patron safety, and at an appropriate break during the performance. Late-arriving patrons are not guaranteed seats together, unless Reserved Seats that are next to each other have been purchased. Late-arriving patrons, except those who have purchased Reserved Seating in advance, are not guaranteed a seat in the case of a sold-out performance.

Please turn off all cell phones, pagers, and watch alarms. Photography, whether with or without flash, is prohibited during all events out of concern for the safety and concentration of guest artists. Video and/or audio recording of the events is prohibited. Neither food nor drinks are permitted in any of the performance venues.
