Complete the application form and EMAIL it, with your resume and cover letter to:
mediainterns@calstate.edu

DO NOT email your application directly to the Executive Directors.

You will be contacted by an Executive Director for more information regarding internship placement in approximately one week.



Please pay close attention to your cover letter and resume. These documents will be forwarded to prospective employers, so it’s important to put your best foot forward!

Here are some tips to get you started:

COVER LETTERS
  • If you are applying for positions in Northern California, please address your cover letter to Sean Mitchell.
  • If you are applying for positions in Southern California, please address your cover letter to Robert Vianello.
  • If you are applying for multiple internships in both regions, please write a cover letter addressed to all three Executive Directors: Sean Mitchell and Robert Vianello.

RESUMES

  • You MUST read the resume tutorial before you submit your application. Please read it HERE.
  • Please use THIS resume template if you need to create a new resume. If you have an existing resume that fits the guidelines listed in the tutorial, you may submit it instead of creating a new one.

Please note that not all student applicants will qualify for an internship. Our Executive Directors are working very closely with industry professionals to find the right student for each position. The application process for each position is competitive, and it may not be possible to find a good match for every student applicant.
