Rick Garcia
Rick Garcia was born and raised in San Diego, TX a small south Texas town.  He began playing the drums at age four and wrote his first song at the age of nine.  After graduation, he moved to Austin where he played in a succession of bands then relocated to Los Angeles.  In the late 1990's he began writing and performing songs for film.  He has co-written and performed over 40 songs for such major films as Seven Pounds, Brokeback Mountain, My Best Friend's Girl, CollateralBangkok Dangerous, and The Interpreter to list just a few.

In April of 2008 he was invited to mentor, participate and collaborate in Free Style, a lyric writing competition held throughout Los Angeles high schools.  The competition was the brain child of actor Jason Alexander and ASCAP.  Over 1,500 aspiring lyricists competed.  The competition culminated in having the top fifteen lyricists perform their work at a concert held at The John Anson Ford Theatre in June 2008.

Mr. Garcia is currently writing songs for numerous upcoming films.  He remains one of the most in demand singer/songwriters working in film today.
