Work with some of the most influential and powerful teacher/performers on the contemporary improvisation scene.

Study the basic processes of improvisation for the actor and get an introduction to a variety of long-form improvisational methods including Improv Olympic (IO), Comedy Sportz, and The Second City.

Armando, La Ronde, Living Room, Slacker, and Deconstruction will also be explored during the course of this ensemble-based workshop.

Get a wonderful overview of sketch writing, improvisational give-and-take, scene building, and group dynamics, as well as work in yoga and Viewpoints.

A side benefit of this class is the opportunity to network with working professionals from the Los Angeles marketplace.

Students involved with this class will also have a master class with the incomparable long-form group Dasariski.
- Participants will give a public culmination at the end of the session.

Anyone interested in experiencing the joy of working in an ensemble environment with an improvisational focus. Some theatre experience is desirable, but is not necessary.

James Grace

His stage credits range from The Real Live Brady Bunch to The Oerol Theatre festival in Holland. Some film and television credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Super Troopers, Beer Fest, The Factory, My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé, and Third Rock from the Sun.

Irene White hails from the great state of Texas where she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She has studied at The Second City in Chicago and IO West in Los Angeles. Her Chicago theatre work includes The All-Female Bonanza at Live Bait Theatre and Chamber Music at the Transient Theatre. Her Los Angeles theatre credits include Blue Window, The Women, The Red Coat, Problem Child, The Bed, and her one-woman show Open to the Public. At IO West, Ms. White is a teacher and performer, as well as a coach. She was a member of the long-running Harold Team "King Ten," and is a current cast member of The Armando Show. She can be seen nationally in lots of commercials and in episodes of Brothers & Sisters, Friends, Will & Grace, and My Name is Earl. She had a recurring role on Carpoolers, and was a series regular on the Fox pilot, Man Stroke Woman.

Mr. Hunicutt is an alumnus of The Second City Chicago and Improv Olympic Chicago, where he performed with the acclaimed improv ensemble The Reckoning. He has taught improvisation and acting workshops at theatres, colleges, and improv festivals across the United States and Canada. In Los Angeles, Mr. Hunicutt is an actor, writer, and director, and a teacher at Steppenwolf Theatre Classes West, and is a teacher and the Director of Training at Improv Olympic West.

Jenn Winters has been studying movement and the body since she was a child, learning jazz and modern dance as well as developing her love of the stage. She is a licensed massage therapist and a certified Bikram yoga teacher. These modalities combined with the organic aspects of Viewpoints drive her forward to a deeper knowledge of the human body and its relation to text. It brings her great joy to help facilitate body/mind awareness.
