study with company members of Steppenwolf Theatre Company of Chicago.

Participate in multiple daily sessions in a variety of acting approaches
that help constitute Steppenwolf's unique style.
Work on voice and movement-based exercises including Viewpoints.

Study the Steppenwolf approach to ensemble development through scene
study and improvisation.

Discuss "the business" with Los Angeles- based actors and directors.
Student and professional actors or directors who plan on careers in the professional theatre should apply. This is an advanced class that will demand a high level of concentration, focus, and commitment. Above all, HAVE FUN!

Jeff Perry
Co-Founder of Steppenwolf Theatre Company, co-star of Nash Bridges. His many acting credits at Steppenwolf include The Time of Your Life, The Grapes of Wrath, The Caretaker, and Streamers. Other television credits include Thirtysomething, My So-Called Life, which he occasionally directed, and dozens of guest starring roles on programs including Grey's Anatomy. Mr. Perry served as Steppenwolf Artistic Director from 1982 to 1985 and 1986 to 1987. He was integral to the founding of The School at Steppenwolf, where he continues to teach and direct. David Razowsky
Artistic Director of The Second City Los Angeles Training Center. He was a cast member of ten Second City revues where he created material with Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris, and Jeff Garlin, among countless other performers. He has directed Second City Mainstage's No, Seriously, We're All Gonna Die, Second City LA's Encino Evil, The Second City Untitled Project, The Second City Detroit's acclaimed 19th Nervous Breakdown, and The Second City National Touring Company. As an adjunct faculty member of the California State University, Mr. Razowsky directed the mainstage production, Beeswax, a performance of original monologues created through improvisation by CSU students. He worked with Steppenwolf Theatre in 2005 on Balm in Gilead for the California State Summer Arts Festival, and directed two of Amsterdam's Boom Chicago theatre's productions-- RockStars, and their critically acclaimed Live at the Leidseplein - Your Privacy is Our Business. Both Boom shows were remounted for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has directed the Los Angeles premier of Hellcab at The Hudson Theatre, What's Wrong with Getting Laid, and Dairy Farm at The Comedy Central Stage at the Hudson Theatre. Mr. Razowsky is a co-founder of Chicago's Annoyance Theatre.
